The TikTok Shop affiliate program lets creators earn a commission when people buy products they tag in videos, LIVEs or their profile showcase. Sellers set the commission, and creators pick products to promote. Requirements for US creators
- At least 18 years old.
- Based in the United States.
- At least 1,000 followers to apply.
- An account in good standing that passes identity verification.
Creators with fewer than 5,000 followers start in TikTok’s Creator Pilot Program for at least 30 days, with more limited access. Full access comes at 5,000 followers.
How to join
- Open your profile in the TikTok app and go to TikTok Studio.
- Under Monetization, choose TikTok Shop for Creator, then Join.
- Confirm your age and identity.
- Watch your inbox for TikTok’s decision.
- Once approved, browse products in the creator marketplace, request samples and add products to your showcase.
How commissions work
Each seller sets a commission rate for their products, often somewhere between 8% and 20% depending on the category. Sellers can offer an open rate to any creator or a targeted rate to creators they invite. You earn the commission on completed orders, and orders that are returned or canceled don’t pay out.
